I'm a poet and essayist based in the Midwest writing primarily on masculinity, surrealism, and the anthropocene. I wrote the chapbooks Claustrophobia, Surprise! (HAD Chaps) and The Pony From Waco (Giallo Lit). I read fiction at X-R-A-Y Lit Mag, and am a proud co-founder and contributing editor of the prose poem journal Obliterat.

My work has appeared in places like DIAGRAM, Joyland, The Bennington Review, HAD, Hobart, The Heavy Feather Review, Best Microfiction 2021, No Contact, The Lickety-Split, Fourteen Poems, Spillway, and elsewhere if you look hard.

There's more coming soon in Pleiades, Passages North, Guesthouse, and The Columbia Review

*A note on my name: I've gone variously as Evan Williams, Evan J. Williams, and even Evan Jerome Williams. Terrible marketing on my end to switch so willy-nilly, but there you have it. I'm writing as Evan Williams at present.
